SF-Caravan Sauvon seutu ry was founded in 1992, and the association’s 20th anniversary was celebrated in Sarapisto in conjunction with the stage gathering in 2012. Matti Aro served as the association’s first president. In 2007, Mauri Arvola took over as president. Mauri Arvola handed over the gavel to Kimmo Laine at the beginning of 2011. Annica Sandberg took over as chairperson at the beginning of 2018. Toni Loiske took over as chairperson at the beginning of 2023.

At the end of 2024, the association had 254 members.

A dance pavilion was built in the area in 1995, and the outdoor outhouse was replaced by a flush toilet in 1997. The dishwashing shelter was converted into a heated maintenance building in 1998. The old sauna burned down on April 20, 2004, but fortunately a new sauna had already been built and was ready to be tested at the dance pavilion gathering that same year. The barbecue shelter was erected in the fall of 2008. A new extension was completed in the summer of 2013, and a new office was built in 2014. For the summer of 2022, additional toilet and shower capacity was added through the purchase of a sanitation container.
